We have been testing this device on and off for the past few weeks, with actual power outage situations and some just for fun Tests with equipment. We did not do a full unboxing or a deep dive into the device itself, as they are tons of those online. We wanted to just give you all a hands on real world test of some common items that everybody has.
In the near future, we'll be adding additional solar generator divices and accessories such as solar panels, extra batteries and alternator charger. When we do we will keep everyone posted on results of the growing system.
Our goal until we can build a custom trailer we are building a smaller version of our mobile command and disaster relief build for the F150. We will have alot of stuff coming. All of the gear we are getting will work for power outages, emergencies, camping, festivals and more.
Test 1: Power Outage 6 Hours
Devices Plugged in:
Eero Router/Mesh WIFI
Fiber Modem
6 Port Ethernet Splitter
Security cameras
65" sony led tv 2018 model
Power Draw 80-160 Watts
Estimate Battery Life was 9.5-12.5 Hours
Note: Just running Wifi, Cameras, Router and Modem could be ran over 24+ Hours by it self.
Test 2: Power Outeage 6+ Hours
Device Plugged in:
Kenmore Fridge/Freezer 2018 Model Non Energy Star
Power Draw: 300-800 Running Wattage
Starting Wattage up to 1600 Wattage
Estimated Battery Life 12-18 hours
I did perform this test at night and did not consistently monitor the fridge, as we'll only cycle on as needed. X-Boost delivers the starting power needed and it handles it perfectly. With the fridge only running as needed and not opening the doors to much, you will maximize oh boy and get the most out of the battery bank. Results will vary for everyone on this
Test 3: Mobile Vinyl Cutting
Devices Plugged in:
24" Vinyl Cutter
Samsung Book Pro
Led lamp
Power Draw: 11-80 Watts
Estimated Battery life: 12+ Hours
The vinyl test was just to see if it could handle being out at an event, making custom decals for sure customers and of course it exceeded the expectations.
Test 4: we didn't specifically test too many items, but we did test running portable light, stovetop, heaters, Power tool batteries, satellite internet, fans and more field equipment and the solar generator handles it all effortlessly.
